Make them welcome

MoreThanEnoughI believe one of the most important things we can do when guests enter the salon is making them feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door. I take their belongings, purses, umbrella, wraps, bags…letting them be absolutely free to start relaxing and being pampered.

I want them to know I’m here to take care of them. We always offer snacks, wine, fresh coffee and water, because our guests may be here for two or three hours.

We even have purse hooks at each station, because one of my pet peeves is having a guest’s purse sitting on the floor. Not!

Just last night, one of my longtime customers said this: “Michelle, you have such a nice environment here. Every single person greeted me and asked if they could help me. It made me want to stay!”

Just hearing that made me feel so good, because that’s just what we’re striving for: A relationship, an environment and an experience to savor, until the next time.
