Totally swooning over this before and after, by owner and stylist, Michelle Williamson. Extensions are perfect for those who want to add some length and volume! Bombshells offers both fusion and tape-in extensions. So how do you decide which ones are best for you? Before you dive in and get mermaid hair, it’s best to have a consultation with one of our stylists. In the mean time I can give you some advice about the upkeep, durability, and application process.
My love for hair extensions started 3 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I started going to Bombshells salon for my color and cut services every 4 to 6 weeks for maintenance. I was always complaining how my hair would be so much better if the sides were the same length as the back, because it was just taking too long to grow for the specific blunt cut I was trying to achieve. My stylist mentioned to me, how about you try some fusion extensions to even it out and make it fuller. I really didn’t know much about them and felt that I wouldn’t like the upkeep of having them in. She informed me that they were really easy to maintain and would last up to 4 months or longer. Fusion extensions (or bonded) are individual keratin tipped strands that are fused to your natural hair using heat. They are obviously effective at styling your hair and they do make your hair look longer and fuller, naturally. Unlike other forms of hair extensions, the appearance of fusion hair extensions is the most natural and are very well concealed. There are two methods of application to install the extensions, but regardless of the process of application, you can be sure that people won’t figure out if you are wearing hair extensions. There are many things that you have to avoid, all of which will be clearly explained to you by our stylists. You wouldn’t be kept in the dark at any point in time! A good thing about fusion hair extensions is that you can attend to your hair just as you would if you did not have the extensions.
Tape-in extensions are wefts of hair that are attached to small sections of your natural hair. To hold the extensions in place, double-sided tape is applied between two sections of your natural hair. A quick, easy and pain-free process, the tape extension lies flat and comfortably in your hair, and won’t damage your natural strands. These can last up to at least 12 weeks. Tape-in extensions really do look like your own natural head of hair. My proof? I’ve been wearing extensions for years and I have friends who don’t believe me when I tell them. The bonds lie completely flat against the head and are so comfortable. You can wash, blow-dry, flatiron, and curl the extensions. I like to take care of my extensions just as I would my own natural hair, gently as possible. Like natural hair, extensions can be fragile when they are wet.
Finding the best extensions for your hair can take a little time, but our stylists are licensed and trained to inform you on everything you need to know about which ones are the best fit for you! Go ahead and book a consultation today and you will be doing hair flips in no time!
